Celine Dion is set to
return to the Las Vegas stage one month after laying her late husband
Rene Angelil to rest, a rep for the singer confirmed to ET Canada on
Wednesday.
The singer will take the Caesars Palace stage again starting February 23.
A quick return to work,
an insider tells People magazine, is what Angelil would have wanted.
"That's what René would want. He wants her to perform and come back…He
knew her better than anybody and he probably knows that's what she needs
too, to perform."
Dion will use her time off to mourn the loss of her husband as well as her brother, who both died within the same week.
A funeral service for Angelil will take place
January 22. A tribute for her late brother Daniel Dion will occur the
following day on January 23.
