Female bank staff blames devil for N15m scam

Trouble had begun following Omoregie's request to the victim, Mrs Mikano Kadiri, that she pay the said amount into a deposit account, saying that there were profits to be made on a monthly basis.

A female banker who has been arrested over her involvement in a N15m scam, reportedly blames the devil for her actions.
The suspect who worked for an old generation bank located along Airport road, Benin City, has been arrested following allegations of defrauding one of Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole's aides wife of N15m
.
The suspect identified as Gloria Omoregie, has been revealed to have deceived the victim whose husband happened to be the special adviser on security to Governor Adams Oshiomhole, to pay about N15m into an account as fixed deposit.
Trouble had begun following Omoregie's request to the victim, Mrs Mikano Kadiri, that she pay the said amount into a deposit account, saying that there were profits to be made on a monthly basis.
A source close to the police revealed that the suspect would be arraigned before the court soon enough, saying that Omoregie had blamed her actions on a spiritual attack.
Omoregie is reported to have also told Mrs Kadiri that she could withdraw from the account based on request.
The plan had been uncovered when Mrs Kadiri had requested access to the money and had been told that the money had been borrowed to the bank's cooperative.
Upon further investigation, it had been discovered that the bank did not run any cooperative society and that the money was untraceable.
Upon this discovery, Omoregie had written a letter of resignation to the bank, which the bank had revealed to the victim.
The suspect had immediately been arrested following her perceived resignation, especially because of the timing with which it had been submitted.
